R.C.Ortega has been firmly established in dance music before he even realised.
In the mid to late 80’s he found himself drawn to the sounds of electronic artists such as Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis & Mick Oldfield, to name but a few, along with various other musical arrangements that went against the grain of many a taste of that time.
Soon after having hit the clubs and learned of radio stations playing the sounds he liked and being exposed to a broad range of dance music from the hard and fast to the slow and sleazy, he become a fully-fledged connoisseur of all electronic music from Detroit techno to soul beats.
Having played all over the Uk and Europe and if you have been lucky enough to hear an R.C.Ortega dj set, then you will soon come to expect the unexpected. While playing to the crowd he has a knack of getting booty’s shakin’ and legs moving to whatever style he’s playing, usually an amalgamation of disco tech funk and straight cut electro with a dose of techno attitude.
