PRAVDA is an energetic, live electronic ‘future jazz’ outfit from Cape Town.
PRAVDA’s sonic palette ranges from the dance-oriented sounds of Parov Stelar, Jamiroquai and Caravan Palace to future jazz leaders Mr Scruff, St Germain, Tape Five and The Electric Swing Circus. Other influences include Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and the big band swing-era jazz of Louis Armstrong and Django Reinhardt can be heard alongside African, Latin and Balkan rhythms.
