Around The Way…, United Kingdom
Aka Mark Pickering; began as a scratch and hip-hop DJ back in school. Inspired from the Chicago Jackmaster tour, he began a couple of nights in his hometown, that specialised in underground dance and acid house.
During his late teens, Mark moved to the City and started to play house music for a sound system based in South London. He also began playing warm up slots on the club scene at places such as Ministry of Sound, Club UK and Satellite Club, with a weekly residency at the Emporium. He also became resident DJ for the Tribal Gathering festivals.
Pirate radio stations became a conduit for Mark to hone his sound and he had weekly shows on the infamous Freek FM and Girls FM alike.
His sound blurs the audio lines between Deep House and Soulful Techno and he wishes to showcase his own music though these mixes.
