Peter Willson

Peter has been a pianist and organist since the age of seven and was organist at Cuddington where in 1975 he directed the music for Salad Days, and has since been the musical director for over 15 musicals in South London and East Sussex. He was Claire Martin's first pianist when she was only 16 and in the early eighties he became very interested in jazz piano. Peter has trained under Mike Garrick at the Royal Academy of Music, and with Bill le Sage at Wavendon. He has taught jazz piano for over fifteen years at his home in Herstmonceux and he still plays the organ regularly at Isfield. In 2007 he was the musical director for Anything Goes at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea. He is the founding musical director for the ‘a cappella’ singing group, JMTZ that featured in the BBC's “Last Choir Standing” in 2008.
