Uploading some of my mixes from the last 20 years inc house, trance, old skool hardcore, happy hardcore and Dn'B.
Got into hip hop back as early as 83' coming across stuff on TV and later discovering the Electro albums. I remember getting a cassette tape from HMV in Oxford of the Beat St movie. Played the theme track from that on a regular. My cousin Daniel was buying american hip hop imports, through him I discovered Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, KRS1, Brand Nubian, 3rd Bass, Mary J Blige, etc! and my favourites at the time Stetsasonic and EPMD.
Anyway my taste for hip hop was ongoing but soon discovered tracks like House Arrest by Krush, Inner City stuff and other 1988/89 style dance tracks.
My love of rave music kicked in around 1990. I started to listen to Kiss FM in Early 91 to Colin Favor, Colin Dale and co. My only regret is I didn't start mixing earlier. Now I'm playing progressive house, trance and Dn'B and dipping back in the archives too!
