Nick Piz is a house music DJ from Long Island, New York. Since a young age he always seemed to be musically inclined. He was taught how to play the violin before reaching the age of 10. From there he taught himself how to play the piano and a bit of guitar as well. At the age of 13, he bought FL Studio and learned how to produce simple hip hop instrumentals.
He personally believes that many people just become passable DJ’s. They become technically good enough to not “train wreck” or make other types of very noticeable errors. Many of these people think there is no reason to work on improvement as a DJ further than that. In contrast, Nick believes that almost anyone can achieve that level of skill, which is just the beginning. He is constantly trying to improve upon all aspects of DJ mixing. In all of his sets he aims to create a piece of art that others can follow. He tries to convey a theme, mood, or picture with the audience through his sets.
