Mostly Yoshi is currently based out of Vancouver B.C. Canada. Having grown up in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island with a heavy influence of Hip Hop music, Joshua Tisch formerly known as “Versatile” co-founded the Hip Hop collaborative “49th Parallel”. Friends and like minded Hip Hop heads from high school came together recording their first album on a dual cassette boom box. From 1998 to 2008 Versatile A.K.A. Mostly Yoshi wrote, recorded and performed original music with the 49P, playing shows Island wide and around Metro Vancouver. This included writing and recording lyrics, music production and recording.
During the early 2000’s Mostly Yoshi was on the move. After living in Whistler BC for 2 years and then over to Osaka, Japan for a year, his quest to find new music had him exploring the sounds of Drum & Bass, Techno and House music and its evolving list of sub-genres. Today, Mostly Yoshi continues his quest to create and curate electronic music.
