The Morning Bugle is Boone Area Community Radio's own Saturday morning "wake up and get the coffee goin" program, featuring sounds and stories from across the wide expanse of American roots music. The show's title and theme are a tip of the derby to John Hartford (1937-2001) and we try to take Ol' Harf's freewheelin' approach to exploring the expansive musical landscape of America, ranging from traditional fiddle tunes to jam heavy psychedelic Newgrass to all points around and in between.
Hosted by Matt "The Sauciest Sonker Ever Baked on the Banks of the Yadkin River" Groce and Trevor "The Rumored Tallest Hemlock Left Standing in Watauga County" McKenzie, the show shifts the Boone Area Community Radio signal up to FULL POWER every Saturday morning at around 10. If ya ain't fishin, ya best be listenin!
