Rex Foundation Ralph J. Gleason Award Recipient Wendt's been on air since 1968. He began reggae shows on KTIM in 1974 and on San Francisco's KQAK in 1983, before moving across town to KFOG in 1988. He's syndicated world music programs. He has also been producing radio programs for non-commercial stations including KCRW, KPFA, KUSF, World One KECG, KGPR and others. From 2013-2014 Wendt ran Reggae MD, a full time reggae radio station for radioIO. Doug is well known internationally for his highly successful world beat dance party presented from 1988 to 1994 in San Francisco. He currently produces Best Of All Worlds & Deep Sixties from KGPR.
