As many DJs, Mentalien had already been a music freak at a young age. After a while his addiction focused mostly on jungle and drum&bass. Momentous tunes, like Inner City Life, Warhead or Friday made him fall in love with the genre so much that he started to collect records when he was 16. Later he widened his musical palette and started digging deeper in other genres like uk garage, house, techno and many other exciting styles which fit into the ’bass music’ category. When it comes to DJing, his vibe usually is very vocal, soulful and rolling, but he can be the man of extremes as well, and switch to darker, more experimental and industrial sounds.
