Matt Xavier is a North American psychedelic DJ, certified harm reduction addiction counselor, psychedelic guide & integration specialist. Since 1993, his contribution to the global electronic music culture has been undeniably psychedelic. In the early 90's he co-founded New York City's first psychedelic trance company, Tsunami Productions, where he served as resident DJ and music director until the turn of the millennium. After retiring the psy-trance format he began producing deep techno, house & progressive under the moniker "Gruvhaus". In 2005 Matt founded the techno & house music label Railyard Recordings. More recently, Matt held the role of resident DJ and music director at LA’s Compression, $2 Tuesdays and Subtract Music. He continued presenting his brand of psychedelic house, trippy techno and hypnotic ambient/chillout at such notable events/venues as Lightning in a Bottle, Moontribe, Burning Man, Symbiosis, Giant, Spundae, Avalon, Vanguard, 1015 Folsom, Circus, and King King.
