Matt Rapid has been playing heavy bass music at parties and festivals since way back in 2003. He’s experienced the many shifts and evolutions in the Drum and Bass scene and brings this depth of experience to his DJ sets, which are typically wild and ruckus, overflowing with raw energy, with quick mixing, unique genre bending mashups and underpinned by hefty rolling basslines.
Matt Rapid is also a roaming sound engineer and music recordist with a passion for finding interesting new sonic textures, he has an ear for heavy, primal, lush bass music and finding creative ways to blur genre boundaries in a constantly shifting blend of dnb, halftime and raw, hectic bass music.
Matt Rapid’s DJ sets span the broad spectrum of bass music bringing positivity, creativity, grimy rawness and a fresh vibe to the dancefloor.
