Born in 1990 in Selva, a small town on the island of Mallorca, Mateo, artistically called MATE, since he was a child he had the opportunity to manipulate vinyl records and different musical instruments from his father.
Attracted by hip hop music from his earliest adolescence, his interest in electronic music was cultivated when he decided to buy two turntables and a mixer after listening to the album of one of his idols, Richie Hawtin's Closer to the edit. In those years he starts in music production softwares, something that makes him start thinking about creating his own music.
Mateo decides to settle in Barcelona. There he began his music producer studies and managed to build his own home studio with different virtual instruments and his first digital synthesizer, Yamaha PSR - 22, with which he decided to work to finish his first releases and give his sound a unique authenticity.
In October of 2018 he accomplished to sign his first musical contract with CENITAL MUSIC
