I started a long time ago in the 80s with cassette tapes and self-made mixers. I was lucky enough to play on some Technics MK2 for a couple of years and learn how to beat match by ear. Played on CD players, not the CDJs, but the cheaper ones that didn't really keep the speed. DJ controllers brought me back into the game, and I am still enjoying myself playing music. I just upgraded from my beloved Roland DJ808 to a Rane Performer to get a bit of the vinyl feel back and....it's working....
