DJ Precious was born in the windy docks of Cardiff,s Tiger Bay in Wales. From a very early age, Precious developed an incredible ear for the drums and bass of club music, which honed her early craft....very quickly she adopted the SL 1200.s at the tender age of 13.
Barely a teenager, Precious was sharing her bedroom with a wide collection of vinyl which ranged from RnB, Rare Groove, Disco Funk, Soul and house and garage classics. Her skills were quickly spotted by the BBC who poached Precious to host the very first official House and Garage radio show on radio. In this prestigious position, Precious put on a phenomenal show which was nominated for a Sony music award.
Precious' turntable skills and selection were recognised by various players within the A list DJ circuit including The Dreem Team, Lady Dynamite and the So Solid Crew..Then the Major labels came knocking..
Precious signed to giants Polydor records to garage girl band "Ladies First"...the rest is history!
