Alexandra Banyai, aka Lepque is the only female Dj in Hungary in the classic ambient musical world. She has been dedicated to spreading this genre over the last decade through a number of channels in Hungary and abroad. Her clear aim is to multiplicate her impressions of the atmospheric world of ambient sounds, and, as she puts it, the message of ambient music is often misunderstood.
Lepque started producing music as a teenager and had been working since for a number of commercial radio stations. Later the works of Pete Namlook and John Serrie completely changed her attitude towards music and they have been influencing her taste ever since. She played at a number of festivals at Ozora, Sziget festival, VOLT festival, Waha Fest (RO), Balkan Fanatics (HR) among others, and she is a frequent performer in clubs and radios in Budapest.
