Kazteins is an Athens-born DJ, raised on punk and rock before being pulled into electronic music through the early impact of Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, and Underworld.
At 19, he committed to the turntables, building his sound around electro and techno and maintaining a strict vinyl-only approach. Alongside a long-time collaborator, he became active in Athenian clubs before launching a mobile underground party concept, organizing events and bringing international artists into the local scene. Between 2004 and 2009, he ran a DIY electro project in Athens, hosting guests such as Terence Fixmer and Jennifer Cardini. His work has been recognized by Mechatronica and Intergalactic FM, leading to his selection for the Electro Mix Challenge in recent years. For the past 20 years, he has been based in Berlin, and is currently affiliated with the Athens-based label Tiger Weeds.
