Joint Effort was started as a collaborative music project by Stephen Bishop (DJ Stephen Nicholas formerly Peak) and Chris Ruiz (DJ Numinous) that
incorporates a rotating roster of live musicians, MC's and vocalists to accompany their electronic beats. When Chris and Stephen spun back to back, they were called Joint Effort. Eventually, the Joint Effort name stuck with Stephen and he began to get booked under that name.
Joint Effort's music production specializes primarily in Downtempo and Trip Hop. However, Deep House, Drum and Bass, Hip Hop, and Dubstep is produced as well.
Joint Effort spins House, Dancehall, Reggae, Dub, Dubstep, Jazz, and experimental DJ sets.
