James is a Brighton/Somerset-based DJ, remixer, and producer whose dynamic sound reflects 27 years of evolving musical passion. Deeply influenced by the golden age of House, Techno, Happy Hardcore, Jungle, Drum & Bass, and Goa Techno, his mixes channel the infectious energy of the early 90s.
James excels at both genre-bending daytime sets and crowd-pleasing prime-time performances. His decades-long career is marked by constant reinvention, always showcasing the highest quality sounds.
With residencies at iconic London clubs like Turnmills and a seasoned festival presence, (Noisily, Truck, Secret Garden, Glastonbury, Shambala, and more!), James is a veteran of the scene. Fans of his whimsical alter-ego, Dr. Lames the Animal King (and his Amazing Traveling Animalarium), can find recordings of his legendary Shambala, Secret Garden and Glastonbury sets.
