Pioneers of the Balkan Beats scene in Brazil, Sol and Maria are the producers and DJs in charge of Go East: the first Brazilian club party dedicated to the sounds of the East, taking place in Rio de Janeiro since 2007.
In their DJ sets, the duo present their extensive musical research of more than ten years. The result of all of this is a surprising mix of intoxicating sounds of the Balkan Peninsula and surroundings, mixed with electronic beats that can make anyone dance until they drop.
From 2007 till now there were dozens of Go East editions with big names of the international Balkan scene, such as Kosta Kostov, DJ Click, DJ Farrapo, Gaetano Fabri, MC Killo Killo and Eugene Hütz.
In addition to gigs in Rio, São Paulo and Minas Gerais, the DJ duo was invited to perform twice at Exit Festival, one of Europe’s most celebrated summer festivals, as well as in other festivals and clubs in Turkey, Montenegro, Argentina & Chile.
