Glen Pizzolorusso

Glen grew up around music. His father, the drummer for the late Tiny Tim and his mother an aspiring singer songwriter, his sights were set on keeping a beat (on moms pots and pans) before attempting to walk. He began playing the drums and trumpet in elementary school. Eventually studying the guitar, piano, and voice, he played in many bands throughout his early years. Joining a well established SKA band in the early 90’s as the bassist, he began touring the northeast. He started to notice that after their SKA shows were over many times the venues would host underground parties with DJ’s and electronic music. Glen quickly became obsessed with this new scene. Selling his bass amp and picking up a pair of 1200’s and a mixer DJ Phunkae was born. In 1997 after creating a name in the New England Underground Scene, Phunkae packed his bags for Orlando Florida, Breakbeat capital of the world and home of Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts.
