Free Freddie is a genre-bending DJ and musician blending electronic music with live instrumentation. Born in the Philippines and raised in the Bay Area, her sound was shaped by the underground scenes of San Francisco and Chicago. Classically trained in piano, guitar, and drums, she comes from a live music background rooted in jazz before discovering DJing at fifteen.
She began playing parties as a teenager, performed at San Francisco Pride by eighteen, and later became a fixture in Chicago’s club circuit, sharing stages with Paul Johnson, Lee Foss, and DJ Heather. Returning to San Francisco, she played venues including Halcyon, Public Works, Great Northern, and The Midway, opened for artists like Walker & Royce and Claptone, and held a residency at Beaux. Her path includes Burning Man, How Weird Festival, Breakfast of Champions, and Camp EDC.
Free Freddie is currently focused on a hybrid DJ/live project while producing music between Buenos Aires and the Philippines.
