Ed Royal discovered his love for dejaying in the early eighties in Italy, soon after which he was standing behind his first pair of 1210´s. His intention was to bring listeners closer to rare groove and funk. This required great skill in the difficult art of mixing and accordingly Ed soon acquired the necessary expertise. After his first gigs in Broglu, Sappalott and Boing he became Resident DJ in the popular Jimmy’s Bar in Innsbruck.
Ed released his first album called “the groove collage” with Dj Enne and 2 years later the popular album “live your dreams”. After them he played gigs all over Europe and also in the U.S.A. . Thievery Corporations invited Ed in their club “18th Street Lounge” and the next release was “live your dreams remixed” album.

This won´t do and Ed opened his own club in Innsbruck called “Studio 21” and found his second label "twentyone-recordings"
