Dtekk (Jędrzej Dondziło) is a real one-man institution in the Polish electronic music scene: a DJ, a promoter and a cultural activist. He started mixing in 2000, and since 2001 he has been a DJ resident in the long-running, legendary Metro club in Bialystok. Dtekk has been working on the Technosoul collective since its inception and is one of the authors of its success: numerous events with key artists from around the world and the recent expand of its activities as the record label. The most, however, seems to be the Up To Date Festival (www.uptodate.pl) - which he is the main head of, serving as the main booker, strategist, and promoter. The festival gathers a reasonable number of people each year and is probably the most important event of that kind in eastern Poland. As if that was not enough Dtekk stands for the multi-annual cyclic events, such as Ambient Park, Secret Location and Kitsch’n’Electricity which are key elements of the local scene in Bialystok.
