Spinning vinyl since ‘86 throughout the SF Bay Area. Jumped around from mobile DJ crews earlier in the scene before I ended up teaming up with “Beat Boy” Frankie C and me OSB to form Union City’s Taking Command in ‘88. Showcased events for Imagine and other independent promoters. Also performed at a few battles unitl we disbaned in the early 90’s. Did a few guest spots here and there with DJ crews at a few venues until I total retired the scene to raise my family.
Since then I have always messed around and pracitced my craft at my makeshift studio at home. Went full digital with Serato, various controllers and a Macbook when it exploded into the market.
Shoutout to a few of my idols in the DJ scene: Off The Wall Pauly Paul and DJ Slick of Imperial Sounds and Dino Rivera and Chris Miguel of Spintronix.
Fun fact: I still have all my equipment from our mobile DJing days from all my vinyl, 1200’s, mixers, CV highs/mids/quakes and powered by Carver amps.
