I DJ'd my first gig at age 14 - a cheesy wedding reception in the recreation hall of a local church, but by the end of the night I knew I was hooked. At 17 I landed the music director job at my high school radio station, then went on to a decade of making a living in the music industry. My day job was programming music for businesses (NikeTown, Williams-Sonoma, RAVE and more) while my Friday nights were spent at Seattle's C-89.5 FM as the host and DJ of the Friday Night PartyZone (a 4-hour commercial-free mixshow), and most Saturdays I was DJing either for teen dances or club gigs. I never thought it would be possible, but as the 2000s hit, I realized I was getting pretty burned out on music-as-work. These days my career lies in the IT department of a large healthcare organization. I still DJ mobile gigs on a regular basis, but my creative side is fulfilled by these mixes that I make for my own enjoyment. Hopefully you like them too! Thanks for listening!
