Matazz (ma-taz) began his career in the London, Ontario rave scene, curating some of the hottest Techno sounds around at the time while quickly becoming one of the city's most highly demanded DJs, headlining nightclubs around southwest Canada and sharing the stage with legends like Frankie Bones and Chris Liberator.
After a brief hiatus from the scene, he became inspired by the resurgence of electronic music he witnessed occurring all around him and decided to revive the Matazz name to show this new generation of clubbers what it was all about. 2014 marked his debut as a producer, and his extensive DJ background proved extremely valuable. His track 'Baked Goods' debuted on Dance Lab Recordings and the high energy pure Techno track was a success, charting on Traxsource's Techno Charts, and leading to his even more successful remix of Thomas Latham's 'Bounce'. These tracks show a deep understanding of the genre and a skilled hand at composition as Matazz crafts a song.
