KitKat made friends with the ones and twos in two thousand and two when she had to depart from her record slingin party rockin homies in the Canadian prairies and move to the west coast. Taking the skills she observed from those talented beings back east, she bought herself a set of belt driven Numarks and taught herself to mix in her living room. When she was asked to play her first show in 2005, she called on her mom (her biggest fan and vise versa) for some name advice and the old nickname "kitkat" came up. Mom asked what kinda music she played and subsequently sang the "gimme a break" jingle....well the rest is history.
Since her debut in 2005 she has rocked numerous events, outdoor festivals, co-created "Chubby Beats" with Dr Jones-a weekly club night at the Lotus Sound Lounge in Vancouver, and part of the award winning NSB Radio family for 7 amazing years.
Her high energy bass driven sets really are a treat. A lucky few have even seen her mix with her feet!
