DJ Draven Josh hails from the suburban Detroit area. Detroit and its house music scene from the nineties really inspired him while growing up. Hearing such radio personalities as DJ Claude Young and Stacey “Hot Waxx” Hale, Draven’s interest in music as a profession was piqued. He did his research, found the right equipment, and scoured the local record stores for vinyl. He taught himself how to beat-mix and in a few short years he had the opportunity to deejay at a club where none other than Stacey “Hot Waxx” Hale herself was in attendance. Today, DJ Draven Josh has over twenty years of deejaying experience under his belt. He moved to Los Angeles in 1997 and has since spun at nearly every venue in the Los Angeles community with resident gigs at Mother Lode and the former Gold Coast Bar, both in West Hollywood.
