DF Tram is a Los Angeles–born music producer, DJ, and visual artist known for cinematic, psychedelic fusions of ambient, electronic, and chillout music. His immersive audio-visual work has drawn recognition from influential figures including Alex Paterson (The Orb), The Future Sound of London, and Youth (Killing Joke; producer for Paul McCartney and The Verve).
From 1995 to 2018, DF Tram played a key role in shaping the ambient and chillout scene in San Francisco, helping establish the city as an international center for experimental and downtempo electronic music through events, performances, and community-building.
His work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and he has received an Ibiza DJ Award nomination (Eclectic category). In 2025, DF Tram released a full-length album on Alex Paterson’s Orbscure label (Cooking Vinyl), marking a new chapter in his evolving sonic practice.
