Dee Jaye Queen (Tomona Cheryl VanZant) is the first lady of the “cutting edge”gospel sound. Born and raised in Queens, New York, this native New Yorker reminisces of blasting home stereo speakers in the window, for the entire neighborhood to hear. During the birth of the hip hop era, God fine tuned her ear to hook every beat and in time discipled her ear to hear HIS voice.
Now a born again Christian, God never took the love or passion of music away from her but enhanced, equipped, and empowered the inspirational sound as a tool to win souls for the kingdom of God. Today, every Christian have the right to celebrate life to the words of Luke 15:24 “I once was lost but now I'm found! DeeJaye Queen is pressing her mark in this male dominated industry and there is no stopping her now.
