With a musically diverse background including disco, classic rock, oldies, alternative, rap and hip-hop; Counterintelligence finally found his sound in '96 within the walls of Nation (aka Capitol Ballroom) in Washington, DC at the famous Buzz parties. "It was like I heard everything and was getting tired of music in general until I heard this new sound". Originally your average party kid, within a year he found himself hanging out with other DJ's in and out of the night clubs. "I pretty much was a concierge for one of my best friends and lived the life of a DJ without ever spinning a record. Lots of times the lighting tech wouldn't show up and my friend asked me to do them; that's when I realized I knew his style, the way the music works, and how the lights should react directly with the sound, not some auto program" In 2008, he finally had money to spend to buy his friend's used 1200's, locked himself in his bedroom for 3 months...and the rest is history in the making. His widespread
