A.K.I. is an old-school raver turned producer whose journey began behind the decks in the late ’80s, emerging from the early UK rave scene before moving through hardcore, jungle techno, garage, and eventually finding a home in house music.
Production started the traditional way—hardware, vinyl, and a couple of turntables—before life took over and music was put on hold in the early 2000s.
Lockdown reignited the spark. Armed with Ableton and a renewed passion for creating, A.K.I. picked up where he left off, blending old-school influences with a modern underground house sound.
Rooted in decades of dance music culture, his productions draw on the energy of rave, the groove of house, and a deep love for the music that started it all.
