Android phones with Gemini Intelligence can automatically handle chores in apps for you, so you can spend time doing the stuff you actually want to do. It supports things like reservations, tickets, shopping, and travel across more than 40 apps. It runs the app in the background, you can check in at any time, and the final purchase step is left to you.

Congratulations to Samsung Mobile on the launch of the new Galaxy foldables and watches! Our partnership with Samsung is all about pushing the envelope of what’s possible with technology. With the latest foldable devices, we’re rolling out the first capabilities of Gemini Intelligence – a vision for technology that works proactively for you. I’m super excited about the expansion of task automation with Gemini. Now supporting 40+ popular apps, it is designed to help you get through your daily “life admins” so you can focus on what you’d rather be doing. We also upgraded the data migration experience to let you transfer photos, messages, Wi-Fi credentials, and even your eSIM wirelessly from an iPhone. There’s never been a better time to make the switch to Android! Look out for more intelligent features as they become ready, so you’re not left waiting. Thank you to the Android and Gemini teams for all the hard work! #GalaxyUnpacked

Really proud of the team's work on combating scams on Android devices. It's a massive problem that costs users $400B+ annually and technology and specifically AI can really help here. For example, we've trained models that are specifically tuned to detect fraudulent calls, or text messages. These capabilities have already protected millions of people. But it is a constant fight and we will keep investing here.

Mobile scams are a massive global problem, costing users over $400B annually. To address this, we’ve been working hard over the past couple of years to build real-time scam detection for calls and messages on Android, warning you the second a conversation looks suspicious. 🚫 This feature has already protected millions of users from potential scams, but we need your feedback to help us stay one step ahead of attackers. If you or your family or friends have seen one of our warnings during a call or text conversation and it helped protect you, could you take two minutes to tell us about it? 📢 Your input directly helps us improve this feature and protect more people. Android 17 is rolling out to Pixel devices today! Big congrats to the Android team and thank you to all the beta testers who helped us along the way. There are a ton of new features in A17, but here are some of my favorites: 🫧 Bubbles: Long-press any app to turn it into a floating window or dock it in a bottom bubble bar on large screens to seamlessly multitask while referencing notes or maps. 🤳 Screen Reactions: Use an improved toolbar to simultaneously record your phone screen and your selfie camera, and easily share video reactions over apps or sites. 🎮 Foldable Gaming: Level up with a 50/50 split layout featuring the game on top and a gamepad below, plus controller remapping and memory optimization to stop frame drops. 🔒 Security Safeguards: Take control with temporary location access, selective contact sharing, biometric lockdown in Find Hub, and enhanced anti-scam Live Threat Detection. Look out for an update on your Pixel device, and other Android devices throughout 2026. Here’s Dieter explaining Bubbles!

What happens when an authentic Android power user, visionary CEO, and neurodiversity advocate sits down with our team? Magic. 🪄 We loved welcoming Paris Hilton to her very own Sliv Lab Google to show exactly how Android is breaking down barriers to creativity. For too long, building software meant you had to be an engineer. Today, you just need a vision. Using Gemini on Android, Paris vibe-coded an incredible, ADHD-friendly organizational app right before our eyes. I am so inspired by this intersection of culture, tech, and female entrepreneurship.  Recently, together, we hosted the Android Innovation Challenge where future female leaders built helpful tools for their communities. The challenge winner built an app called "Bound" that helps girls walk home safely from school, share their location with their parents, and report hazards along the way. Head over to android.com/paris to get exclusive behind-the-scenes access, actually try out Paris’s ‘Iconic Ideas’ for yourself, and learn how our tools can help bring your own ideas to life! That's Android. That's hot. 🔥👩💻 #IconicAndroid #IconicAndroid #WomenInTech #Sliving

I’m thrilled to announce my new partnership with Android! As a CEO, entrepreneur, creator, and mom, I’ve always loved technology that can keep up with real life. So when Google invited me to campus to collaborate as Android’s first-ever Icon-in-Residence, I was all in. We’re entering a new era of creation, where anyone can turn an idea into something real. Android is making technology more accessible, intuitive, and empowering, no engineering background required. They even built a custom “Sliv Lab” for me, where I used Gemini Canvas on Android to vibe-code my own app, Iconic Ideas.  As someone with ADHD, I wanted to create a highly visual, ADHD-friendly tool that helps turn mental chaos into clarity and action. But Iconic Ideas is just one example of what’s possible. With Android’s ecosystem of Gemini tools, your device can become a creative collaborator, helping you design solutions that fit your life, your workflow, and your imagination. I can’t wait to see what you build. Learn more, watch the full video, try my app, and start creating at Android.com/paris.
