One of the best ways to be a stronger partner is to listen. Last week, Atlas had the privilege of welcoming Albert V. Shelby III, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Director of Program Delivery, to our Duluth office as part of his GDOT Roadshow. More than 50 transportation engineers, project managers and leaders joined the discussion to hear Albert's perspectives on the programs, priorities and opportunities helping shape transportation across Georgia. Opportunities like this provide valuable insight into the goals, challenges and vision of the agencies and communities we serve. Hearing directly from transportation leaders helps us better understand the priorities that guide project delivery and strengthens the partnerships that support meaningful infrastructure investments throughout the state. We appreciate Albert taking the time to share his knowledge and engage with our team. Special thanks to Todd Long, PE, PTOE, South Atlantic Division Lead and former GDOT leader, for introducing Albert and helping welcome him to Atlas. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from our clients and proud to support GDOT's mission of improving mobility and connectivity for communities across Georgia. #GDOT #Transportation #Infrastructure #Engineering

From classrooms to living rooms: giving a historic school a new purpose. A long-vacant former middle school in Nebraska is being redeveloped into residential housing, bringing new use to an underutilized property. Before construction can begin, environmental challenges inside the building must be carefully managed. As part of this brownfield project, Atlas is supporting the effort through abatement oversight, helping remediation work move forward in alignment with regulatory requirements and established safety protocols. Projects like this highlight the value of adaptive reuse, preserving the character of existing structures while preparing them for their next phase. 👉 Read more about the project and its progress here: https://bit.ly/4fM5OJl.

🦆 What do arcade games have to do with environmental restoration? At EPIC's Do-Duck-Athon, quite a bit. This one-of-a-kind event brings together environmental professionals, regulators, attorneys, consultants, mining experts and community leaders for an afternoon of learning, networking and — yes — arcade games. But the real impact isn't measured on a scoreboard. It's found in the conversations, connections and collaborations that help move projects and communities forward. As a sponsor of this year's event, Atlas is proud to be part of the experience. 📖 In their latest blog, Teresa Harris, CEM and Erin Abel, MS, RG share why Do-Duck-Athon remains one of their favorite industry events and why relationship-building continues to play such an important role in environmental restoration. 🚧 The future of transportation is built through collaboration. Next week, transportation leaders, DOT professionals and industry partners from across the western United States will gather in Las Vegas for the Western Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (WASHTO) Annual Conference to exchange ideas, tackle challenges and help shape the future of mobility. As a proud corporate sponsor, Atlas is excited to be part of the conversation. Transportation infrastructure does more than move people and goods. It connects communities to opportunity, supports economic growth and improves quality of life. Across the country, Atlas helps agencies and project partners deliver the infrastructure communities depend on every day. In Texas, Atlas has served as an independent quality partner on TxDOT's I-35 Northeast Expansion (NEX) Program since 2021, providing oversight across multiple phases of one of the state's most significant transportation investments. Designed to improve safety, reduce congestion and support long-term mobility, the program is helping modernize a critical corridor for the San Antonio region while reflecting the kind of complex infrastructure challenges our teams help solve every day. If you're attending WASHTO, connect with Kara Swanson, Jacob Beedle P.E., CFM, Brook Corney, CCM and K.D. Warach, PE, MBA, DBIA. Learn how Atlas is helping deliver transportation infrastructure that improves mobility, strengthens communities and keeps people moving forward.
