Last week, we had the honour of celebrating the opening of the #GordieHoweBridge alongside WDBA-APWD, Bridging North America (BNA), and many more who played a role in delivering this new landmark and symbol of regional and national pride. As lead designer for BNA partners ACS Group, Aecon Group Inc., Dragados SA and Fluor Corporation, we were responsible for the bridge, the 130-acre Canadian Port of Entry, the 167-acre U.S. Port of Entry, a new highway interchange in Michigan, and five pedestrian bridges that provide safe access to the local community. Our team of more than 800 engineers, architects, project managers, planners, safety specialists and other technical experts, as well as 30+ subconsultants, collaborated from 60 offices across four continents. Together with our client, we integrated diverse engineering, architecture and construction expertise with digital technology to create a unified approach founded on common goals, transparent communication and a firm commitment to delivering social, environmental and economic value for local communities and surrounding regions. The Gordie Howe International Bridge project and its associated community benefit programs show how technical excellence and corporate responsibility come together in strength and unity to deliver a once-in-a-generation bridge and its surrounding infrastructure in a functional, responsible, secure and beautiful manner. Appreciation and congratulations to all who helped make this project a reality! Read more here: https://acm.to/EgGX

What do the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games reveal about the future of delivering the world’s most complex infrastructure programs? Unlike previous Games, LA28 is relying primarily on existing venues, complemented by temporary and adaptable solutions. It’s an approach that reflects a broader shift in how mega-programs are being planned and delivered. Drawing on insights from AECOM Fellow Bill Hanway, Brent Leif, DBIA, Sue Kershaw and Jessi Bolton, our latest thought leadership explores what this shift means for clients delivering complex programs, including how to: - Design for legacy from the outset - Integrate delivery across complex stakeholder environments - Make more deliberate use of existing assets alongside targeted new investment Learn how LA28 is redefining the future of mega-program delivery: https://lnkd.in/g272ge6g #LA28 #Olympics #Paralympics #AECOM

We’ve been appointed Independent Certifier for the design and construction of the Department of Transport and Main Roads' The Wave – Stage 1, in a joint venture with Bureau Veritas. As Queensland’s next major rail project, Stage 1 of The Wave will enhance regional connectivity, reduce road congestion, improve accessibility and support population growth as part of the 2032 Delivery Plan for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond. For the next six years, we’ll certify the design and construction of the new dual-track rail line from Beerwah to Caloundra, including new and upgraded stations, ensuring the project meets safety, operational and regulatory objectives. We build on our proven track record of delivering independent assurance on some of Australia’s most complex and high-profile projects.

🛩️ Farnborough International Airshow is where the future of aerospace, security, defence and space takes shape. Our senior defence leaders Ed Robinson and Graham Hall will be attending this year's event, engaging with partners across industry, government and the broader defence ecosystem on how we collectively deliver the next generation of defence capability. The UK Defence Investment Plan sets a clear direction to implement the Strategic Defence Review; the challenge now is turning ambition into delivery - at speed and scale. And, doing this in sync with our NATO and AUKUS allies is what will make the difference. We help clients deliver their capability programmes, modernise critical infrastructure, strengthen resilience and enable the advanced technologies, systems and networks that underpin defence readiness. Defence is more than capability alone - it is a whole-system delivery challenge. Success will be defined not by the plans we announce, but by what we can actually build, deploy, and sustain. Our ability to innovate and partner will underpin our success. If you're attending #FIA2026, connect with Ed and Graham to discuss how we can help deliver a more secure, agile and future-ready defence ecosystem. #Defence #NationalSecurity #Infrastructure #Resilience #Innovation

In Southern California, we partnered with SDG&E to fast-track a strategic undergrounding program — helping improve safety, reduce costs and strengthen community resilience. In just one year, the program delivered: - 112 miles of powerlines undergrounded - 23% reduction in cost per mile - Stronger stakeholder engagement and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation Our scalable, data-driven approach is helping utilities modernize infrastructure while addressing climate and wildfire challenges head-on.
