Set in a 19th-century building, The Sands Hotel, Orkney is situated along the shore of Scapa Flow in Burray village. It has a bar, a restaurant and beautiful sea views. Everything was amazing, from the staff to the rooms to the food and the view. Just a wonderful place! Would highly recommend this property..

Beautiful spacious room, with spacious modern bathroom and cosy bed. Lovely breakfasts, excellent cosy private bar. Parking close by/out front if you time it right. Staff - amazing! Chef so lovely and lady on breakfast duty also - helped set up so we could watch the All Blacks v England rugby match early in the morning. Chef also showed some interesting local events being the Orca visiting the harbour. Made us feel very welcome. Breakfasts were great - lots of choice

Looking out across the harbour of the Orkney Islands’ largest town, The Kirkwall Hotel features a high-quality restaurant and bar along with stylish en suite rooms. Personalet var usedvanlig vennlige, imøtekommende og profesjonelle. Rommet var stort og godt, badet romslig og varmt, bortsett fra om morgen når varmen hadde vært avslått hele natten. Meget behagelig seng med ordentlig dyne, noe som ikke er så vanlig. Deilig frokost med god tidsramme.
