ABOUT WAN-NL

The Workers’ Action Network Newfoundland and Labrador (WAN-NL) is part of a broader movement of workers organizing for solidarity and justice across Canada.

We are a growing network where workers come together to support one another, stand up for our rights, and organize for fair wages, secure jobs, and dignity at work.

Worker Solidarity:

an injustice for one worker is an injustice for all workers.

Real change happens when workers stand together. We believe that when workers organize collectively, we can win fair wages, secure jobs, and dignity at work for everyone.

What exactly is

Decent Work?

Decent work means more than fair wages and benefits.

Decent Work is employment which is free of harrassment, abuse, discrimination, precarity, and other unjust labour conditions which deny the dignity, rights, and economic well-being of workers.

The Fight for decent work is ongoing

From government offices to the picket lines, the growing collective voice of workers has been the driving force behind implementing measures that ensure Decent Work.
