What’s actually inside your nail products? It’s a question more and more people are asking – and with good reason. Many gel systems contain ingredients that can irritate sensitive skin or even trigger allergies. That’s why, at Doonails, we’ve chosen a formula you can feel good about from day one: HEMA-free, Di-HEMA-free, vegan and free from the most common problem ingredients in nail cosmetics.
Whether you’re using our Soft Gel Press Ons or our nail accessoires – full transparency about our ingredients isn’t a nice extra, it’s part of our promise.
HEMA (Hydroxyethylmethacrylate) is an acrylate monomer found in many traditional gel nail products. The issue: it can pass through the nail into the skin and cause long-term contact sensitization – often referred to as a gel nail allergy. Typical signs include itching, redness and swelling around the nail; in the worst case, it can lead to a lasting allergy to acrylates. Since September 2021, the EU has heavily restricted HEMA and Di-HEMA in consumer products.
All Doonails products are strictly HEMA-free and Di-HEMA-free – making them a conscious choice for anyone with sensitive nails, reactive skin or a known intolerance to classic gel systems. You love beautiful nails but can’t tolerate regular gel polish anymore? Our products were created with you in mind.
Beyond HEMA, we avoid other well-known problem ingredients: no formaldehyde, no toluene, no dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and no camphor. Our Soft Gel Press Ons work without a UV lamp and without aggressive filing – which means less damage and more protection for your natural nails.
We also keep removal as gentle as possible: our remover oil loosens your Press Ons without acetone. All Doonails products are vegan and never tested on animals – not a temporary trend, but part of our brand values.
