My experience with My Pocket Skill has been extremely disappointing.

The communication is one of the worst I've experienced on any freelance platform. I've been waiting for payment for months, and there has been little to no meaningful support. Whenever I submit a support ticket, I usually receive a single reply, then the conversation goes silent. If I need further help, I often have to open a completely new ticket just to get another response.

Another major issue is that chats are regularly locked, with the blame always being placed on the automated system. There seems to be very little effort from the support team to actually investigate what happened or contact users to understand the situation before taking action. It feels like decisions are made automatically rather than fairly.

What makes this even more frustrating is the contrast in how payments are handled. When it comes to clients making payments, the platform seems very quick to step in and push the process forward, even if the work has not been fully discussed or agreed. However, when freelancers need help, support is incredibly slow or simply disappears.

The only positive thing I can say is that the platform's strict moderation may be well suited for users under 18, where extra safeguards make sense. However, applying those same restrictions to adults creates unnecessary barriers and makes it very difficult for professionals to communicate effectively and resolve genuine issues.

Overall, the platform feels unfinished and unprofessional. The communication is poor, the support is unreliable, and the way issues are handled has left me with very little confidence in the platform. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend My Pocket Skill to anyone looking for a reliable freelance marketplace.

I have recently joined this website and I can say that using it feels very different from most job apps or websites. The appearance is simple enough to use and easy to navigate. Safety guidelines are transparent and ensure the platform remains a safe space for everyone, clients and people offering work. Would definetly recommend to anyone looking to earn some money without the strict contracts of traditional work :)

I used Mypocketskill to find a student photographer for my wedding , I had Faith B for 2 hours and she took the most amazing natural photos of my special day , i would highly recommend her and would definitely use her again

I was able to find the right fit for the social media content writing I needed. They were supportive throughout the whole process and there is competitive price range that fits for all.

It's a great way to earn extra money and experiences. The platform is easy to use; however, sometimes there are slight issues in the conversation, and it is quite annoying that the potential client doesn't reply to your first message at all. It would be helpful if the admin team could give them a nudge so the young people can know if they can do the task.
It is hard to get the first customer since, in my experience, only 3/10 potential clients reply to my first messages, and there is not a lot of active listings on the platform.
The community team staff are friendly and helpful. The answer to my queries was really quick and clear.
Overall, my experience on mypocketskill as a tutor is good and I would recommend it to other young people.

In this day and age, AI chatbots provide regurgitated information without bespoke responses to your own situation, which, as a user, can be incredibly annoying. With MyPocketSkill, a member of the team personally reaches out to you and solves your problem within 24 hours, which I find amazing!

Additionally, MyPocketSkill places so much trust in their tutors/photographers/babysitters, etc. Unlike most websites, they do not restrict their website only to those with the highest grades and unrealistic qualifications, but value passion and motivation, meaning the site is full of enthusiastic members.

Setting up the account is also incredibly simple and easy, taking hardly 5 minutes! Within a few weeks, I had gotten my first client which was such a surreal experience.

I would definitely recommend MPS as the first place to go to anyone looking for a tutor or looking to be a tutor!

Faith did an absolutely amazing job !! I booked faith for a surprise proposal photo shoot! She caught the most important memory and made sure it was magical for us! She followed my brief to a T and I will definitely be booking her again!! She helped to pick the best proposal spot too !
