My experience with Cotown was extremely disappointing. In my opinion, they only care about getting as much money as possible from tenants. Be very careful with your security deposit—they will look for every possible reason to keep it. They were not helpful when I repeatedly asked for assistance, I would not recommend Cotown to anyone.
horrible, no ethics, the flat was said to be all-girls flat and they rented a room to a boy once empty. They take the deposits without any justification, the facilities are poor, no AC regulator at each room, you have to fight with low level tenants ( literaly coming from the street over the AC tempreature), kitchen sink clogged, washing machine leaks water, parties and loud screams until 3 in the morning, inviting boys to sleep overnight, marijuana and all sorts of crazy parties, and zero customer service, they are only experts in manipulation, escaping complaints, shifting the blame and taking your money. If you want a horrible life experience renting a low level poor room with the price of a full flat and you are ready to share your daily life with people literaly coming from the street since the company never asks about thier documents or background or even bother to set rules and comply with them between tenants, go a head, burn your health and money.

The check-in process was very smooth and easy, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean upon arrival, almost like a hotel standard. During my stay, any questions or issues were handled very quickly and efficiently. My roommates were also very friendly, and I really enjoyed staying here for the past month. I had a great experience overall, and I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future if I have the opportunity.

I had a very good experience with the Cotown agency at Napols. The shared apartment was spacious, modern, and very well maintained. Its location, close to public transportation, is extremely convenient for daily life.
I appreciated the comfort of the accommodation as well as the care and attention given to the residents. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay.

Everything was as I expected and better. Location in Valencia was perfect. Regular maintenance in the rooms and in the apartment. I loved it here and I would and will recommend it to others!

It was okay, the rent is way too high for one room. Moreover, when i was in a dirty apartment with people who were careless , there was no action taken. I was constantly sending cotown pictures and compaints, vidoes and voice notes or behaviours that were against the policy but no action was taken. after when i moved to another building i expected some kind of compensation or acknowledgement but nothing. the second apartment i stayed at was good . i do belive there should be a vaccuum in the houses tho since there is so much dust and we are only given a broom. Moreover, their customer service was so good they were always attentive and friendly over whatsapp for anything i needed.

We booked this as a "normal" Airbnb booking, but Cotown seems set up for students and remote workers who are sharing an apartment. We were asked for information prior to arriving that didn't apply to us. My wife and I were just looking for a place to stay in Valencia for 2 months. Perhaps there should be a different process for those who are not students or remote workers.
In addition, the place is VERY noisy at night. Ostras Pedrin right outside is open until midnight and people are outside yelling, drinking, and partying until at least midnight, sometimes later.

The house is spacious with modern furniture. Great location. Excellent service from the cleaning ladies, maintenance guys and customer service! Everyone is super friendly and problems are solved rapidly.

The apartment was in a great location and the inside was great. However do not live here if you are young or studying abroad! There are many rules that make it quite difficult like not allowing guests over past 10pm (not even a family member), or not allowing other guests spend the night. There was an “incident” in our apartment and instead of getting a warning about the first time we got charged a fine for something we didn’t know we were doing wrong. I think a lot of issues could have been resolved in a better way.

I stayed at Cotwon in Barcelona from January to April, and while the location was definitely a highlight—super central and easy to get around—that’s unfortunately where most of the positives ended for me.
At $1400 a month, I expected a comfortable, flexible living environment, but instead I felt like I was back in a dorm. The rules were overly strict: no one was allowed to enter the apartment after 10 PM, not even just to pick something up. I wasn’t even allowed to have my sister (who lives in Barcelona) stay the night in my private room. It felt really limiting, especially as an adult paying that much in rent.
The apartment itself was fine, but the shared living situation was frustrating. My roommates rarely cleaned up after themselves. Even after asking multiple times to clean the dishes, they wouldn't, and there didn’t seem to be any system or accountability for keeping the place tidy. Random pop-up visits from management made things feel even more tense and uncomfortable.
Bottom line: for $1400/month, you’d expect more freedom, cleanliness, and professionalism. The location is great, but that’s about it. Wouldn’t recommend it unless the rules and structure change.

Absolutely horrible experience. The apartment itself is fine but the management was horrible. The walls are thin and you can hear everything in the rooms next door, which I guess is the norm in Spain from what I've heard. Even though in their long contract it says to abide by their "rules" which includes no making noise after 10pm. For my entire stay, the person next door talked on the phone until 2am every night, and management only tried to do something after I complained 3 times which was almost 2 months after my original complaint. (Edit: I know this because although Marta did reply asking me which unit it was, she did not reply again after that and the noise persisted, then I tried to contact her again about the problem a few weeks later, and the noise persisted again. Two weeks before I left, I couldn't help but try to contact her again because nothing changed at all. Then she finally asked me what language they were speaking (very obvious that she did not actually locate and contact my neighbours before, hence your claim that it was addressed immediately does not stand) , presumably to identify the tenant, and the day after that the noise immediately stopped. And no they did not move away because I could still hear them during the day. It's interesting how you try to say that the problem was addressed immediately, as if one simple reply to my first message = solving the problem.) When the lightbulb in my room was broken it took them 10 days to fix it (Edit: I checked again and i actually took 19 days to get it fixed), and the first time they came, they looked around in the kitchen and left, saying all the lights worked, while I repeatedly told Marta (the person in charge of Madrid) that it was the light in my room that didn't work. Most importantly, when we left, Marta kept on insisting that there was supposed to be a painting in one of the rooms, and that the foot blankets in both rooms are missing, when I've never seen that in the apartment, nor do I know what she is referring to. However judging by the other 'paintings' in the apartment, she must be referring to a framed black and white photograph of a bycicle. After multiple attempts of telling her that we did not steal anything, she charged us over 100 euros for the "painting" and foot blaneks combined and I think that is absurd. But it's hard to not believe the missing of the painting and foot blankets was not orchestrated from the beginning, but it also might have been an honest mistake. (Edit: You say that you always check the apartments before check-in, but that is evidently a lie because you did not check anything before I checked in.)
Marta absolutely sucks at her job and does not bother to do anything for her tenants. She refuses to communicate and replies after several days when it is her primary job. I really don't know how she got this job and how she is not fired yet. (Edit: Judging by the complete lack of accountability in the reply to this review, I don't question how she got this job anymore, since lack of accountability seems to be the standard at cotown.)
So Marta, if you see this, learn to do your job properly and I hope you are enjoying the money you took from me after you find the foot blankets and the framed picture in your storage. (Edit: I apologise and take back my message to Marta, because by reading the other organic comments here, others seem to have faced similar issues with the blatant money grabbing at departure, so it might not have been Marta's personal problem, but Cotown's issue. However, my complaints about the quality of her service still stands.)
And please, 24/7 attention and efficient management? That's laughable at best. Try 6 hours a day 5 days a week, if you're lucky...
Almost forgot something very important. They initially tried to overcharge me 70 somthing euros for rent on their system, as the rent and deposit amount was normal the first time I checked, but mysteriously increased by 70 something euros a few days before my first month's rent and deposit was due. Thankfully they changed it back after I confronted them about it, even though they pretended not to know what I was talking about at first.

I have been a residence with the company for 3 years. I continued to persit with the company due to the service they had been providing and I was happy with it, but things started falling apart, and especially with the change in their customer service. Been charged multiple times even when they had nothing to do with, and for the inconveniences I have had caused by them as a company have many to be considered a coincidence, but not once I was refunded, just apologise. But been the first charge and carry the cases terribly.

Flat was very nice, but this is sadly overshadowed by the bad experience I had with Cotown throughout the stay. They came up with the most ridiculous reasons to charge us extra fees on top of the already high rent and “entry fee”. They charge a “final cleaning fee” of 75€ but my room was not cleaned before I moved in. My biggest regret was not taking pictures of my room before I left: I was accused of spray painting a wall and they took 100€ off my deposit for it.
Cotown went to absurd lengths to take money out of my pocket and I would not rent with them again.

Would recommend Cotown, I have had a great experience with them here I Barcelona. Will especially praise their customer service, they are helpful and most importantly replay and fix any eventual problem quickly. Overall a good experience even though, in my opinion, the apartments and the equipment are in need of a little more love.

Quick and easy to contact, living under cotown was a great first experience living alone.
