We ordered a Karstad 6-person dual sauna from Calm Spas at the end of the summer in 2024. It shipped within 2 weeks. Unfortunately, the instructions they sent were inaccurate and that caused all kinds of trouble for our electricians during the installation. Steffan at Golden Designs, the manufacturer of the unit, was very helpful and responsive in helping us get replacement parts and to support the electricians in their installation efforts. Calm Spas handed off our issues to the right people at both Harvia and Golden Designs and contributed $500 toward resolution of the issue while the manufacturer covered another $500 and Harvia provided a replacement electrical panel to the electricians at cost.

We were disappointed to find out though, that the extra money we spent on the Harvia WiFi controller only allowed us to control the Harvia heater, but NOT the Karstad infrared part of the unit. That was not clear during the sales process and was certainly not made clear in the marketing materials on the Calm Spas website - so be aware of that if you are getting a dual unit. We found that one of the walls on our unit started to warp by the end of the first summer and reported that to the manufacterer directly and they sent a replacement wall.

I orderd a Cardoba 2 person sauna on 12/3 from Calm Spas. Shortly after the order was placed we received an email informing us of a problem with the control panel and a delay in shipping. They offered to discount an nicer model but it started feeling like a bait and switch. 5 months later they still haven't delivered our sauna. They will not answer their phone. They will not respond to emails. We've been scammed!

I purchased a sauna from CalmSpas with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience has been alarming and deeply disappointing.

About a month and a half ago, while the sauna was warming up, the heater unit detached from the wall, burned through the wooden safety guard, and fell to the floor, charring the floor panels. This posed a serious fire hazard, and I believe it points to a major design flaw—the heater is held by small pins that clearly failed under heat stress.

Initially, the CalmSpas team was responsive and acknowledged the issue, assuring me they were working with their supplier to send replacement parts. However, after a few email exchanges and answering their follow-up questions, they went completely silent. Despite multiple follow-ups via phone, email, and text, I have not received any update on when—or if—I will receive the damaged components.

This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a product that failed in such a dangerous manner. Until CalmSpas addresses this issue, I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

I ordered a sauna from CalmSpas on 1/24/2025. They took my money no problem, but after that, every part of CalmSpas customer service was a bad experience. They won't actually pick up the phone to talk. At one point, I went almost two weeks with out any return correspondence. They even provided me with a phone number to contact the manufacturer to confirm that the sauna was backordered. So I called the manufacturer to find out the status of the sauna and the manufacturer actually had 50 units available in their warehouse. I immediately provided that information to CalmSpas and requested them to get the order processed immediately with the supplier. The next day I followed up again, since I didn't hear back from them. Of course they wouldn't answer the phone, they did reply back with a text and screen shots showing the stock was backordered until early April. At this point, I'm livid because they can't pick up the phone for their clients or to call their supplier at the phone number they gave to me. So today, 3/19/2024, I told them to just cancel my order. Unfortunately, my experience with CalmSpas made them appear as incompetent and terrible at performing basic customer service. There are other resellers out there, and they actually answer the phone. Stay away from CalmSpas.

Calmspas is definitely a scam. Ordered my Infrared Sauna in January after doing what I thought was my due diligence. They answered all of my questions, even though their site advertises saunas as Instock that are not…should have been a red flag. They seemed legit, I even asked them to let me know if there would be delays to please give me a heads up. The weekend b4 the Sauna was to arrive, I reached out to confirm it was really coming since I also had an issue with Vital Health Sauna I was a little skeptical. Teddy said he would get right back with an update never to be heard from again. I purchased it in January, by March, still never heard a peep about the product or a refund. Read the fine print on the their website around cancellations. It starts from the day of purchase. It’s possible the 30 day cancellation policy could get tricky if you haven’t even gotten a tracking number in 30 or 40 days. I’m still trying to get my refund. Do not give them your banking info, use Apple Pay or PayPal. I filed a dispute through PayPal, it’s been taking forever, even though Calmspas has never responded. They also go by different names. So very Shady.

I think this is a scam. I ordered an sauana. Their site seems legit and even has the google most-trusted logo. My card was charged right away (a month ago now) but I cannot get anyone on the phone or to respond to me with status of the order. I think it's a scam.

BUYER BEWARE! This company is a scam! We placed an order 5 weeks ago and have been trying to get an update on the order status for two weeks and no one will respond to an email, answer the phone or return a call. We have had to file a dispute with the credit card company. FRAUD!
