An amazing experience using the Piano room hire!

Wanted an excuse to kick start my talent again from childhood, and saw that C. Bechstein provided hire rooms at an incredibly great price. A very clean, friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a kitchen to make tea or coffee! Looking forward to my next visit.

Easy booking via website. Excellent service, first class practice room, piano and extra facilities. Highly recommended.

We visited this place only once ,but definitely we will come back.It is great opportunity to play on grand piano if you have never tried before.The atmosphere in there was very comforting to play and we had everything what we needed.

I came across the C Bechstein Centre Manchester somewhat unexpectedly when I was doing some research to help me understand the differences between various pianos in the Bechstein range of uprights. Assuming they were the manufacturer’s UK location rather than a major Bechstein dealership, I emailed them for some information explaining that I was in discussion with my local dealership.

Lottie responded and explained the situation and I was able to apologise for my misunderstanding! Even though I had already established a relationship locally, she insisted she was still happy to help me on my journey in whatever way she could. Her experienced advice about the best choice of piano was invaluable in giving me added reassurance in my final choice.

Lottie’s willingness to help in my situation was above and beyond anything I ever expected when I first emailed them .. and was greatly appreciated.

When I first learned about this facility, to play top class parlour grand pianos in soundproof studios for £15 per hour (now £17) I was amazed and travel from Stoke to use them. You can also opt for the Bechstein upright for £12 per hour or the larger grand for £27 per hour. Having used these studios for the past few years I can absolutely recommend C. Bechstein Centre Manchester for quality practice including a well deserved tea or coffee and a team of friendly, very helpful staff. Thank you for being there. 🥰

We’re very impressed and satisfied with C. Bechstein Manchester’s customer service. When we first looking for an upright piano for our son, Keith was very patient and informative. He showed us all the pianos in the showroom that fit our budget and circumstances. He patiently played the pianos for us so we could hear differences in each piano’s tone quality.

After we got our son the upright piano, we expressed that we’re considering getting a grand piano for ourselves, maybe in a year’s time. Keith had since then keeping us informed from time to time about the latest sales and models availability. Fast forward, after 9 months, our A190 is now sitting in our living room, giving us so much joy and excitement. Keith has been responsive and followed through our requests on getting different accessories for our pianos. It was a refreshingly stress-free experience.

As for the piano itself, it’s C. Bechstein! The brand speaks for itself in terms of tonality and key actions. It’s a powerful yet delicate and expressive instrument.

We absolutely recommend C. Bechstein Manchester to anyone who is looking for a piano. They also have lovely practice rooms where you can spend some time playing your favorite pieces on their well maintained grand pianos. It’s a treasure store for people who are into pianos.

Bechstein in Manchester have been fantastic I have to say .
Lottie Gleadall has dealt with all dealings with my 192 Concert from the beginning of interest to delivery date and after, including payment.
Nothing had been too much trouble and everything had gone very smoothly.
The piano is what one would expect from a top pedigree handcrafted German maker of the distinction of C. Bechstein.
I’ve been very impressed with the whole process and constantly kept informed during the whole process.
That includes videos and many detailed photos. Nothing has been too much trouble and I haven’t even needed to come and try the instrument. There was really no need . I knew what I was getting and I knew it would be right for me from the first enquiry phone call.
Lottie is very thorough and very good at her job .

I enjoyed playing the upright Bechstein Academy 114 piano in Studio 6 last week: it had a great action and a beautiful bell-like clarity, especially in the upper register. It's a fine instrument in a very convenient practice room!

A superb place, with amazing instruments. During my recent experience to upgrade my grand piano, the team could not have been more accomodating, moving the pianos I was interested in trying to the same place to let me try them next to each other, and allowing me to play each one for as long as I needed to help me make a decision. If you're looking for a piano, I cannot recommend C Bechstein highly enough.

Beautiful, clean and professional studios that are perfect for 1 to 1 tuition. I use these regularly to teach my clients and every time a new client visits they are always blown away by the space. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for studios.

I am writing to recommend the outstanding customer service and experience I recently had at the Bechstein Centre in Manchester. The experience was terrific- I was really looked after by Lottie Gleadall and the team at the centre. They have such expertise and understanding of the different pianos, their tonal nuances, the actions and making process. They allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted to try out the different models and running between pianos for several hours trying to decided which one sounded best. Once I had picked they reserved that exact piano for me. They welcomed me with coffee and smiles and expertise. I would very much recommend the Bechstein centre to anyone serious about indulging their love of Pianos and with a purchase in mind. Also they were very understanding of my needs when it came to my price point and made the right suggestions and selections for me to try.

The practice rooms at the Bechstein Centre are first class. The facilities are just outstanding and the staff could not be more helpful. Anyone wishing to play on a Bechstein grand piano should seriously consider hiring a room.

As a sometime gigging jazz pianist (among other things) I usually don't know what the instrument I'm due to play will be like until I get to the venue. For a recent Manchester gig I was able to request and get the hire of a drop dead grogeous Bechstein baby grand. Not only was it simply one of the greatest pianos it has ever been my privilege to play; the whole team also went out of their way to deal with the various logistical ichallenges that came with our particular venue. If I could have a piano like that at every gig I would be a very happy man. They arrange hire all over the country. Highly recommended.

A wonderful piano haven. The staff were delightful, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. The quality of the pianos available to play were amazing and on top of that the building itself is stunning.

I visited with a couple of friends - one of them purchased a baby grand piano, which was far less expensive than any of us expected.

The staff were so kind and helpful and we were allow to play every piano in the shop including the mega concert grand piano which there was no way we could afford or even accommodate at home - it was so lovely that the showroom had such a variety of instruments and that we were allowed to play them.

We were looked after so well and given coffee, which was a bonus.

Thank you specifically to Lottie for her lovely kind manner and enthusiasm, and to Stuart for allowing us to make a return visit on Monday when the showroom was closed to the public.

If you love pianos then you must visit Bechstein Hall, or Bechstein Land as I have affectionately renamed it.
