Pricing That Pushes Small Businesses Away

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but in this case I feel I have to.

The pricing changes are simply unreasonable. Last year the subscription was €19.90/month. In October it increased to €29.90/month, and now, with only one month's notice, they are raising it again to €99/month plus €0.20 per order.

For me, this feels like a bait-and-switch strategy: attract small businesses with affordable pricing, then dramatically increase the cost once they depend on the platform. That's disappointing and disrespectful to loyal customers. It almost feels as if they expect customers to simply accept it without looking for alternatives.

No small business can justify this kind of expense. Ironically, small businesses are exactly the customers this platform was built on.

The explanation about all the new features doesn't justify the increase either. I don't even use most of them. In fact, with no coding background, I built my own fulfillment workflow and DHL label creation using Make.com, AI, and my own website. At a time when AI allows almost anyone to build their own workflows and integrations, your app is becoming increasingly irrelevant. Charging this price now simply doesn't make sense.

An almost 400% price hike is not ok.

Base.com thinks it’s ok to increase their prices by almost 400% with only 30 days notice. Your business relies on their software and hiking their prices to that degree is disgusting.

This company clearly think they’re underselling their product because they integrate with 2000+ other applications, but in my experience the integrations are weak, minimal and poorly executed. No business uses the full feature set offered by base.com but you will have to pay for it even if you don't use it because thats how their pricing structure works.

Product just about OK. Price increase are utter madness

Firstly, the product is actually OK. As long as everything is going according to plan. There is little in the way of support but I can live with that. What I can't live with is the fact that I have invested time and money integrating the platform with my business for a couple of year and then suddenly, from nowhere, they first put the price up by 50% and then shortly after they double (!?) it again. The latest price is £89+ VAT per month and 0.19+VAT per order. So, take a business like mine with a relatively small order value and about 300 orders per month and you are going to pay close to £200/mnth just to use the (fairly limited) functionality. I saw all this with Linnworks a few years ago. Get people committed to the platform and then extort money from them. Honestly, unless you are absolutely 100% sure you can extract value from this product (even if they double the price again for no reason) then I would steer well clear.

Amazing help

Want to give a special shoutout to Sylwia Setkowicz who helped me immensely with setting up the integration with Base for my first E-commerce business. It had honestly taken me days on my own and then in 30 mins(at no extra cost) she sorted everything in our meeting. I’m now very happy to continue with Base and would recommend highly to others!

most disappointing software and support experience CRAP

BaseLinker is positioned as a business-critical platform, yet we have experienced multiple major failures within days, including repeated label generation outages that brought our operation to a standstill.

The most concerning part was not the outage itself, but the complete lack of urgency from support. Multiple tickets were raised, urgent assistance was requested, and we even requested a video call to help resolve the issue. Those requests went unanswered. The only response we received was effectively to "read the documentation" while our business was unable to operate normally.

These failures occurred during a critical Amazon sales period, impacting inventory availability, order processing, operational KPIs, and revenue. When your business depends on a platform to fulfil customer orders, reliability is not optional.

What should have been treated as a critical incident remained unresolved for more than 24 hours. For a company providing services to e-commerce businesses, this is simply unacceptable.

The platform may have useful features, but when things go wrong, the real test is how a company responds. Based on our experience, BaseLinker failed that test completely.

We have lost confidence in both the reliability of the platform and the effectiveness of the support provided.

I was promised a free 2 months trial…

I was promised a free 2 months trial and that I would get up to 3 free sessions to set up my account. I have many times tried to contact the seller Tomasz Wylazlowski, and when he later called me, he said that I can no have the help to set up my account with integrations and how to work with base.com. I feel very fooled since I specifically asked multiple times about how to set up my account and my first introduction call was a very pleasant one. I did get discount (free trial of 2 months for sure but no help how to use it). Now they are asking me to pay another 800 EUR for the set up or pay for a higher membership than what was clearly announced on the sales call. Very disappointed, and I will not use the service. I also had to wait many weeks to even get a reply from this Tomaz. And then when we called, he just hung up on me when I said I felt disappointed. He said he had a meeting and just had to go and hanged up in my ear.

The platform itself is amazing

The platform itself is amazing. It’s very complex and you can adapt all the parts of your business. WMS integrated alongside the marketplaces and the ERP are one of the best setup for an efficient workflow.

On top of that the implementation team and the support team from Romania has exceeded our expectation, as they were helping with an audit for our existing workflow and adapted to our needs.

Our experience with Base Romania has…

Our experience with Base Romania has been extremely disappointing.

We actually tried working with Base Romania several years ago, but we stopped the collaboration due to poor support and organizational issues. Recently, we decided to give them another chance, hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, the situation seems even worse today.

Tasks are delayed for months, phone calls often go unanswered, emails are ignored or receive very late responses, and there appears to be a complete lack of coordination within the team. In many cases, one person does not know what another person is doing, making even simple requests unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming.

What is most frustrating is that the platform itself has significant potential. However, the quality of customer service and technical support is far below what any business should expect from a professional software provider.

We are not the only ones facing these issues. We personally know several other companies that have ended their collaboration with Base Romania for similar reasons.

The main problem is not the product—it is the lack of organization, accountability, communication, and professionalism. Overall, our experience has been one of maximum unreliability and frustration.

Support services in Romania are bad

Support services in Romania are absolutely atrocious. I’m on an Enterprise subscription, paying around 3,000 RON every month, yet I’m left waiting for months just to receive basic help or implementation support for their services. It’s honestly hard to put into words how disappointing this experience has been.

Out of all the companies I’ve worked with, this is by far the worst support team I have ever encountered. You message them on WhatsApp, they tell you, “Let’s have a meeting in an hour,” and then when it’s time to join the call, complete silence—they stop replying altogether.

It really makes you wonder: what exactly are they charging so much money for? Because support is clearly not part of the package. This service does not deserve even a single star.

Non existent support

I was considering transitioning to them from my current supplier. After a few missed meetings, I finally had a call with them to start the onboarding. We booked in another call but they didnt turn up and didnt respond to any emails afterwards. I guess they arent interested in new business because theyre making way too much money.

Highly Recommend...

Base and their team have been great so far. The system seems ideal for our business and business growth over the next few years. The best part has been the service support and the quick response time to queries, Sylwia has been brilliant specifically offering direct support to our team as and when needed... I’ve had an excellent experience working with Base.com, both from a platform perspective and through direct collaboration with the team behind the scenes. What really sets Base apart is not just the technology, but the people powering it — especially Prasanth Subramanian and his team.

From day one, Prasanth and his colleagues demonstrated exceptional professionalism, responsiveness, and deep expertise in ecommerce operations. Highly Recommend

We’re a business operating across multiple marketplaces, showrooms, wholesale channels, and multiple warehouses. Finding cost-effective, flexible software that genuinely works for our setup has been difficult — until we came across Base.

The setup process has been smooth, and the support has been excellent, especially Sylwia from the support team, who has been amazing and pretty much available to us 24/7.

We did notice some negative reviews before signing up, but we can honestly say we haven’t experienced anything negative at all when it comes to the setup, support, or usability of the system. We were up and running with full integrations across carriers and channels in less than three weeks. The team even offered an additional free period for us during the setup period.

We’re hoping Base will be a long-term partner for us as we start to scale the business in 202

Onboarding is terrible, do not try!

I haven't, in my life, seen such a terrible customer service! I am an agency owner and I have multiple clients that work with them. The difference in the past years for a client that onboarded 2 years ago vs one that onboards today is monumental different in a very bad sense!

Basic things that work for the old client, for the new one does not. The support is there just to waste your time as they are unable to understand basic requests. You tell them that all order status from X should receive a label and marked as paid and they say they cannot do that! While on the old client this is done automatically!

I advise you to search for something else as Baselinker is not what it was.

While syncing in the listings in the baselinker they messed up and update the prices to 10.94 for every product. Never use that again. Its messed up already.i had to pause all my listing reverify their details and then listed again
