I'm genuinely excited to share that I've been invited to join the judging panel for the Innovation Showcase at IHR - In-house Recruitment Live - London, on 22nd September at the Business Design Centre. 🎤 🚀 The Showcase brings together some of the most innovative suppliers in talent acquisition, each pitching their solution in a 10-minute show and tell. Networking has layers…like an onion! 🧅 I’ve managed to get a Shrek reference into a LinkedIn post. Career highlight for me tbh! 😂 Networking events genuinely do have layers. You’ve got the learning. You’ve got the meeting new people. You’ve got the random conversations that end up being more useful than you'd think. And, naturally, you’ve got the post-event drinks. 🍻 I spend a ridiculous amount of time chatting to people across TA, and it’s genuinely one of my favourite parts of what I do. A lot of that happens at IHR - In-house Recruitment events and theey have their next event coming up on the 22nd September, the IHR Live London I’m normally there doing one of three things: 🎙️ Recording live episodes of the RecTalk Podcast with my main man Nitin Sharma☝️ 🎥 Filming some content, including the Merch Review, which is returning at IHR London on the 22nd. Vendors, consider this your warning. 🤝 Or just wandering around, grabbing people for chats and finding out what’s actually happening in the wonderful world of TA. But this year I'm also excited to see Speak to Kit bring their signature cocktails to the event as well on their stand! 🍸 I have a feeling they will be very popular! 😂 Also, my good friend Eli Duane has his first-ever stand at IHR this year, showing off all things NOVA by Dweet. And if you’re trying to meet more people in the industry, I’d genuinely encourage you to come along. Because now the day has even more layers… Come to IHR. Learn some stuff. Meet some TA people. Get dragged onto the podcast with Nitin and me and see a mix of TA professionals and vendors talk about the world of TA. Have your vendor merch publicly judged.
