THE FEELS GUYS! THE FEELS!...GAAHHH!

I waited for the right time to read this book. And receiving the follow-up books to Throne of Glass last December seemed like a sign. So I picked this one with great anticipation. With all the hypes these books get, I can't help being hesitant to dive into the story. But my excitement overshadowed my anxiety.

Celeana is so full of surprises! She's like fire and ice and rage. She's like the night and the storm in the heart of the sun...Oops! Not the Doctor, I'm referring to our kick-ass heroine- Celeana Sardothein. No comparison there between the Doctor and Celeana. That phrase perfectly fits her though. SO MUCH. She's like the epitome of death when she's in total rage- beautiful yet deadly. 

Prince Dorian has a vibrant character. He's gregarious, smart and so full of charisma. Somehow, he reminds me of Thorne in The Lunar Chronicles series. In Throne of Glass, Dorian is a puppet of his father. He's afraid to voice out his opinion about his father's brutal dealings with the people. Throughout the story, he's like that. I can see that he isn't that serious with his responsibility as being the soon-to-be prince.

Choal Westfall. My Choal Westfall. Oh, sweet darling Choal... I am always rooting for the guy with the mysterious past. And Choal is the guy. He's loyal to the King and does his duty well. He has this cold exterior he puts up but actually, he's just good in hiding his feelings. And when you get to the part where you'll know what he feels? UGH. He's such a beautiful person.

I had many giddy moments because of Celeana and Prince Dorian's banters and amusement with each other. Oh! It was good. The romance in the book is one of the main reasons I was hooked till the end.

Throne of Glass is a wonderful high-fantasy book that offers a kick-ass assassin with a mysterious past and an issue with anger management; a prince that is ever so charming and quite the intellectual type; and a Captain of the Guard that seemed to have a heart of ice but is capable of love. 

Overall, it's an epic high-fantasy with a dash of swoon-worthy romance, Cinderella-like gowns, and a bunch of killings and mysteries that will keep readers on edge.

Isn't the cover amazing?! I have read Crown of Midnight already and no doubt, this is one of my favorite series.
