She is an avid reader with a growth mindset. 

Sharmaine as a typical person:

She took up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and is currently pursuing her parents' desire for her becoming a CPA. Before she didn't really want the course but felt obligated to follow her parents anyway. So instead of taking up her dream course, Fine Arts, she followed the path where financial security won't be a problem or so they thought. But on the bright side, the thing that she once disliked now she actually wants. She's aspiring to become a CPA soon.

As she progressed into learning about the business world, along the way she found the love of blogging and that's when this blog was created. Voila! 

On a more personal note...

Sharmaine as an INFJ:

She doesn't like labeling everyone into groups but the label "INFJ" fits her well. What's an INFJ you say? It's one of Meyer's Briggs 16 personalities. It's also called "THE ADVOCATE". She likes the idea of being an INFJ, proud even because she gets to be a part of a rare group of individuals which claims to be 1-2% of the overall population.

As an INFJ she's a self-proclaimed introvert and being one she had her fair share of social struggles here and there. But hey, this woman kept her faith and held on to her Creator. 

Sharmaine as a blogger:

Blaming the INFJ aspects in her, she started this blog, formerly known as Bookworms' Avenue, with a pen name "Bookish Mae". No one knew about her pursuit of blogging except her family. That continued for years until she doesn't remember when and how it happened, but she finally had the courage to share her blog with her friends and other people. And now wanting to improve for oneself and maybe inspire others in the process, she decided to open this blog for everyone. She decided to relocate from her comfort zone to her courage zone, so instead of going by the previous pen name, she thought that people deserve the real her: "Sharmaine".

She figured that expanding her blog from book blog to a personal blog would be a great idea. Incorporating her interests into one blog: books, travel, arts, and others.

Sharmaine as an artist:

She dreams of seeing smiles forming on peoples faces because of what she created. The only problem is, she's still in the "searching my purpose" phase of her life right now. A bit late you might say. But she agrees with you about that. 

She doesn't know what to specifically create but she does know she loves to make art, and by art, meaning making something beautiful. Her view of art is not limited to sketches or drawings, she views it in a diverse way leaving her with many options to choose from. From graphic designs to illustrations, from photography to crafting, from music to writing and so on. 

She was not gifted to be musically inclined and her being clumsy strikes out the choice of being a musician and a dancer, not that she wants to be the latter anyway. 

She tries to tweak with graphic designs, illustrations, photography, writing, and bullet journaling (yes because bullet journaling is a thing now). Although she's not a professional in those particular fields, she happens to love doing those things and tries to constantly improve.

Sharmaine as a believer:

Being of help to others and serving God made her life meaningful.
