Supported Instagram URL formats

Accepted Instagram Reel, video post, and profile URLs for the TranscriptFetch API.

Send the complete Instagram URL for a Reel or video post. Profile listings require a full Instagram profile URL so the API can identify the platform; no shortcode extraction is required.

Availability requirements

The Reel, post, or profile must be public and visible without signing in. Private accounts, deleted posts, login-gated media, and strongly region-restricted content may not be available. Instagram does not expose playlist listings.
