Delhi Police has reportedly identified around 400 people with criminal records near the CJP protest site using its Facial Recognition System between July 20 and July 24. Investigators are analysing CCTV footage, digital evidence and social media videos to determine whether these individuals were involved in the violence and vandalism reported in New Delhi district. Police are also verifying whether some suspects acted as part of organised groups. The Facial Recognition System has become a key tool in the ongoing probe into the Jantar Mantar protest violence.
