At least three people have been killed and 15 injured after a powerful explosion tore through the Balzi Rossi restaurant in central Moscow. The blast occurred near the restaurant’s summer terrace on Kudrinskaya Square at approximately 8:10 p.m. during a private event reportedly attended by around 50 people. The venue is located inside one of Moscow’s landmark Stalin-era skyscrapers. Emergency vehicles surrounded the building as police closed nearby roads and investigators, forensic teams and bomb-disposal specialists examined the scene. Russian authorities have not announced an official cause. Early reports indicated a possible fault involving gas equipment, while investigators are also considering whether an explosive device was involved. Authorities are working to determine whether the deadly incident was an accident or a deliberate attack in the centre of the Russian capital.
